Recall that yesterday’s session ended in legal fiasco as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC appeared in response to subpoena but failed to come along with the documents the Petitioners subpoenaed them for. INEC lawyers engaged the Petitioners’ lead counsel, Dr. Livy Uzoukwu, SAN in legal war of words in the Petitioners’ insistence that INEC must be made to bring the documents they promised to do and were duly subpoenaed for.
The presence of Dr. Williams is clear indication that all global eyes are on Nigeria, her electoral umpires, the Judiciary and her entire democracy.
Meanwhile, proceedings are presently in court with the Petitioners already presenting two witnesses – PW8 by name, Dr. Chibuike Nwoke, a Cyber Security expert. As usual, the four Respondents objected to his deposition as well as cross-examing him without adequate preparation as they were served few hours ago in court.
The court ruled the witness will be led in evidence and then cross-examined tomorrow.
Another witness, PW9 by name, Uloko Onuja, an election observer was called up after PW8. This witness was led in evidence and cross-examined.
A third witness, PW10 by name, Mustapha Suleiman from Adamawa State is called up …
Things are moving rather swiftly today. Is there deliberate attempt to impress the foreign observer?
Keep following as we will bring you details later.
