Iran Insists On Not Negotiating With Donald Trump, Says USA Doesn’t Understand Language Of Diplomacy

The spokesperson to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Fatemeh Mohajerani, has allegedly thrown his weight behind the position of the country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that it would not negotiate with the President Donald Trump-led government of the United States of America.

The Iranian official was said to have similarly claimed that the North American country does not understand the language of diplomacy.

According to Iran Media24flashnews, the spokesperson of Iran double down on the country’s rejection of negotiations with the United States, as she stated that it would not bow to pressure, and that Washington does not understand the language of diplomacy.

Speaking in part, Mohajerani said, “Negotiation is a strategic approach that Iran, as a nation commuted to dialogue, has always pursued.” She proceeded to also emphasize that”coercion and maximum pressure cannot be called negotiation.”

In continuation, she added that Iranians would not bow to force or double standards, saying, “You cannot issue maximum pressure policies with a smile, and then claim to seek negotiations.”

However, President Trump was said to have stated that he preferred a deal over Iran’s nuclear programme, instead of any military confrontation. He, notwithstanding, imposed harsh sanctions from his first term.

The report also recalled that, President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran had said, as he aligned with Khamene’s stance against negotiations, “Trump Says, ‘Let’s negotiate,’ but signs every possible conspiracy against Iran, and then, claims he is ready for talks.” Earlier, Pezeshkian said, “Our enemies think that if they besiege us, we will die of hunger.”
