Rev Fr Benedict Chidiebere Chiedozie Amuchie was born into the family of High Chief Emmanuel Ikonne Amuchie and Lolo Angela Iheoma Amuchie of Umuchokoeze Amaisii Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise LGA of Imo State. He attended Community Primary School Uvuru and Oke-Ovoro Secondary School Uvuru for his FSLC and SSCE respectively.
Rev. Fr. Ben obtained an Advanced Certificate in Computer Science from Abia State Polytechnic Aba. He also bagged OND and HND in Secretarial Studies from the same institution. He as well, obtained a PGD in Journalism from University of Maiduguri.
Fr Ben Amuchie further bagged a B.A. (Hons) degree, with second class upper division in Education/English Language as well as an M.A. degree in English Language, both from Imo State University Owerri, where he is also a Ph.D candidate in English Language Department.
Fr Amuchie studied Sacred Theology at Sacred Heart of Jesus OCAC Theological Seminary in Nasarawa State.He is, as well, a Graduate of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and an Associate Member of the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria (ISMN). Rev Fr Ben Amuchie is a member of the English Language Teachers’ Association of Nigeria (ELTAN). He is certified and licensed by the Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). He enjoys reading and writing and believes in the powers of prayer.
Rev Fr Ben C.C. Amuchie is happily married to Mrs Patience Chiarika Amuchie and their marriage is blessed with five children.
Fr Ben was ordained a Catholic Priest of the Old Catholic Church Rite by His Lordship, Rt Rev. Dr. Peter Ulofu, the Provincial Bishop of the Old Catholic Apostolic Church (OCAC) Nigeria Province, on 28th November 2020 at Sacred Heart Old Catholic Apostolic Church Abo Uzoagba, Ikeduru LGA of Imo State.
Fr Amuchie is presently, a lecturer at Imo State College of Education Ihitte Uboma. Old Catholic Church (OCAC) is a Catholic Church where Celibacy is optional, we give God all the glory for counting Rev Fr. Ben C. C. Amuchie worthy to serve in His vineyard.
