Useless in and out Office: The Story of PDP
The PDP is no opposition party. The party was terrible in government and listless as opposition.
How did Jonathan lose it? Lai and his trumpeters seized the Chibok tragedy and milked it to satisfaction. International media camped in Abuja and headline after headline screamed #BringBackOurGirls.
What about the phantom billions that Sanusi talked about? The insecurity they latched on to show Jonathan as a weak and clueless Commander in Chief.
What did PDP do with the #Endsars hashtag? The massacre at Lekki toll gate and the clampdown on free speech? 12 ASPs were abducted and it won’t be the first but the world doesn’t know about it. Imagine these things had happened under a GEJ Presidency with Lai still leading the media attack.
GEJ’s government was made to lose legitimacy before the world for real and perceived imperfections. Buhari has damaged our democracy, taken us for granted, dismembered our ethnic fault lines, destroyed our naira and economy, overseen the massacre of our youths, superintended over the most corrupt regime in democratic history and what does PDP do? The party is crying over Dave Umahi.
The only opposition in Nigeria at the moment is social media. PDP cannot even do anything to protect the defenseless young men and women doing its work on social media.
Pathetic!
